This role:
We currently have the following vacancy for a solicitor to join our Planning & Environmental Law team, based in Reading.
You will work on a broad range of matters, ranging in complexity, and will be expected to work on your own case load and assist the partner and team head, Karen Jones. We are regularly instructed by landowners, property developers, charities, education providers, property investors, and financiers, businesses of all shapes and sizes and private individuals on a wide range of planning and environmental matters, including S106 Agreements, planning legal advice, certificates of lawfulness, rights of way and highways matters, waste and minerals applications, appeals, judicial and statutory review , CPO and enforcement matters .

Key responsibilities include:
- Production of documents and correspondence as directed by the Department Manager
- Undertaking legal research as required
- Dealing with new client enquiries as required
- Maintaining the highest professional standards in accordance with the firm’s objectives and comply with the firm’s quality standards
- Keeping clients fully informed of the range of services that the firm offers
- Provision of assistance to colleagues
- Legal advice and assistance to clients
The successful candidate will:
- Have at least a 2.1 degree
- Be enthusiastic and hard working
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be a team player and reputable
- Share and embody our values of excellence, integrity and approachability
