Secured Lending (Property Finance)

Secured Lending (Property Finance)

Our experienced team of specialist Commercial Property solicitors, based in Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham, can advise you in relation to secured lending (property finance), including on those areas below.

Looking for expert legal advice?

Whether you are providing or securing finance for an acquisition, investment, or development, or you are simply re-financing an existing secured debt, we have the experience and expertise to help.

Advice for banks & lenders

Our Commercial Property team acts on behalf of several institutional and non-institutional banks and lenders in relation to secured facilities that typically range from £1m to £20million in value. We advise on many types of security documentation including legal charges, debentures, personal guarantees, company guarantees, deeds of priority, deeds of subordination, and collateral warranties from building contractors and professional teams. The security ranges from single assets through to large real estate portfolios of residential and commercial properties.

Advice for borrowers

We advise borrowers in equal measure, and act for many landed estates, landowners, charities, universities, schools, occupiers, investors, developers and trading businesses. Our wealth of understanding of the underlying transaction, our knowledge of the particular requirements of lenders, and our proactive and hands-on approach, all help to ensure as far as possible a smooth and swift outcome for those involved in the secured lending process. We also work closely alongside our dedicated and highly-rated Planning & Environmental law team, as well as the other specialist teams in the firm, which enables us to draw on other relevant expertise when needed.
