Blandy & Blandy Ranked as a Top Tier Firm in Private Wealth Law

Blandy & Blandy has once again been named as a top tier firm for ‘Private Wealth Law’ in the newly published 2024 edition of Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Guide.

Chambers and Partners has dedicated over 25 years to researching and ranking the world’s best lawyers. The HNW Guide rankings, published annually, are based on extensive independent research involving clients, law firms and other professional services firms.

Blandy & Blandy is one of only two firms in Reading and the only firm in Henley-on-Thames or Wokingham to be recognised in the top tier.

In the Guide Blandy & Blandy is singled out for the firm's "longstanding reputation" and "the strength of its private client work". Comments from clients and professional contacts who participated in the research process include: "Their communication is excellent. The lawyers are professional and thorough”, "I have always found their technical knowledge and ability to handle complex and sophisticated matters first class” and "Blandy & Blandy are a full-service practice. Their responsiveness and communication are excellent”.

Jonathan Gater and Caroline Casagranda, partners in the firm’s Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team, are both individually recommended, as is consultant solicitor Graham Benwell, who is named as a ‘senior statesperson’, whilst partner Elizabeth Short is named as ‘up and coming’.

Jonathan’s “superb technical ability” and “manner with clients” are praised and he is described as “personable, knowledgeable, up to date and proactive”. Caroline Casagranda is labelled as an “experienced practitioner in high-value estate administration matters”, “well regarded in the area” and “a highly competent professional with a very amiable character and always works to achieve the best outcome”. Elizabeth Short “always goes the extra mile for her clients” and is “very easy to work with, client-focused and knowledgeable."

Angela Bowman, who is a partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team and specialises in advising on Will, probate and trust disputes, including legacy disputes involving charities, is individually recognised in the ‘Private Wealth Disputes’ section of the guide and credited for providing “very thorough and clear advice at every stage”, for being “approachable, friendly and highly recommended in the charity sector” and “a well-thought-of solicitor with many years of experience and knowledge”.
