Blandy & Blandy Advises the Operators of Reading’s Winter Wonderland

Blandy & Blandy has successfully advised the operators of Reading’s Winter Wonderland, Premier Winter Wonderland Events Ltd, on the company’s Premises Licensing application and helped to secure its presence in Reading for the next six years.

On 22 September Reading Borough Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee granted a premises licence (authorising the sale of alcohol and Regulated Entertainment) for Winter Wonderland to run for up to 54 days a year until January 2028.

Located in Hills Meadow, Caversham, and centred around a large, covered ice rink, the town’s Winter Wonderland will also feature festive stalls, food outlets, rides and attractions for all ages and a Santa’s grotto.

Premier Winter Wonderland Events Ltd was advised by partner Sue Dowling, who provides specialist legal advice to venue owners and operators in relation to alcohol and entertainment licensing.

She added: “Last year’s event was extremely successful and we are delighted to have helped to secure Winter Wonderland’s future in Reading, for this year’s event and hopefully, until 2028.

It is very much a family-orientated event and helps to bring business to, and breathe life into, the Reading area.”

The firm's leading Planning & Environmental Law team also provided advice on the project.
