A group of 10 family professionals, including many of the leading family mediators and lawyers in the Thames Valley region, are voicing their support for Family Mediation Week.
The Reading Family Mediation group is joining thousands of family professionals nationally to promote awareness of the benefits of mediation, as part of an annual initiative led by the family justice organisation, the Family Mediation Council.
Recognising the need to find the right approach for each client, and as members of Family Law body Resolution, Blandy & Blandy’s Family Law team provides several alternatives to court litigation, including mediation, collaborative law, arbitration and early neutral evaluation.
Partner and head of Blandy & Blandy’s Family Law team, Claire Dyer, said: “This a great opportunity for people to learn more about the mediation process and how it could be beneficial for them and their families. Mediation allows an opportunity for separating couples to discuss and make decisions about their future without having a Judge or third party impose a resolution on them. Maintaining this level of autonomy can often promote a more positive future relationship for that couple which is particularly important if they have children together.”
Family Mediation Week runs from 17 January until 21 January 2022.
