Peter Hilton

Peter Hilton is an associate solicitor in our leading Family Law team and advises clients from both our Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham offices, as well as remotely.

He advises clients on a broad range of matters, including divorce and separation, financial remedy and disputes in relation to children. 

Peter is a member of Resolution, the family lawyers’ association which aims to resolve Family Law matters through a constructive approach.

He joined Blandy & Blandy in 2021, from an established firm in Newbury, having trained at a firm in Surrey.

Peter is recommended in The Legal 500.

In 2018 Blandy & Blandy was named as a finalist in the 'Family Law Firm of the Year - South' category at the Family Law Awards in London and in 2022 the firm was shortlisted and 'highly commended' in the same category.

Examples of recent work

• Advising parties in financial disputes. including complicated asset structures, multiple properties and inter-jurisdictional elements.
• Advising parents and wider family members in relation to child arrangement proceedings.
• Advising clients with complex assets including business assets, crypto-currencies, carried interests, RSUs/Share Options and EIS schemes.
• Advising clients in conjunction with out of Court options such as mediation, arbitration and Private Financial Dispute Resolution (FDR) hearings.
• Advising on Family Law Act injunction matters both for applicants and respondents with allegations of domestic violence.
